About the event
Dear YEPs,
Many thanks to those of you who made it to our Tuesday session and contributed to the amazing debate we had with Andreas. We are coming back to you with the invitation to our June session (yes, yes, well in advance but it´s going to be big so we want to mark the date in your agendas already!).
On June 4th in the morning, we organize a session together with the European Commission's Joint Research Centre JRC (many thanks to Andreas for making this possible) who will bring their Scenario Exploration System (SES) game.
The SES is a ‘serious’ board game that was developed JRC EU Policy Lab to facilitate the practical use of scenarios from foresight studies. The original motivation behind this development was to create a platform on which EU policymakers and other stakeholders could explore and engage with foresight scenarios in a quick and interactive process that should make it easier to apply foresight to policymaking. The game enables participants to develop a long-term perspective and consider visions and strategies of different stakeholders that include policymakers at different governance levels, business and civil society representatives and the general public.
In our case we will play a game focused on decarbonisation scenarios (originally developed for DG CLIMA) that will allow us to go through the challenges of setting up the decarbonisation policy on the EU level. I am convinced that this will be super-useful for all of us but even more importantly – we will have a great fun!
A light lunch will be provided after the session!
Looking forward to see you all!
